OVER THE TOP is the ultimate training fuel for serious athletes looking to smash PRs, crush the competition, and still have the gumption to go toe-to-to with Lincoln Hawk.
We’ve brought together an advanced blend of essential amino acids, premium carbohydrates, and research-backed ergogenics to help you train harder, last longer, recover faster, and take your performance over the top!
The initial iteration of Over the Top was an instant classic (much like its namesake). Gains were made, PRs were shattered, and a whole lot of ass was kicked…
But, we can’t help ourselves when it comes to the quest for constant improvement and innovation, and so we went back to the drawing board to see what (if anything) we could do to improve an already stellar intra workout supplement.
As you’re about to see, there are some important upgrades, but first let’s discuss the core ingredient of all intra workouts.
Carbohydrates
While there is a lot of misinformation surrounding carbohydrates, the reality is that, for intense training, carbohydrates are critical. Quite simply, if you want to have elite performance in the gym and on the field of competition, you want carbohydrates.
The key is in utilizing the right carbohydrates, especially for your intra workout supplement.
Traditional intra workout carbohydrate sources can leave you feeling sluggish, heavy, bloated and/or running to the bathroom between sets.
OVER THE TOP uses a duo of premium-grade carbohydrates that are rapid-digesting, but easy on the stomach, providing your body with high-octane fuel to power through even the most daunting training sessions.
Each massive serving of OVER THE TOP supplies:
-
30 grams of Cluster Dextrin
-
10 grams of D-Ribose
V2 Highlights
Even More Amino Acids
Amino acids are the literal building blocks your body needs to repair damaged muscle fibers, synthesize hormones, heal wounds, and create new muscle.
Over the Top v1 included a heaping helping of amino acids (over 20 grams, including 14.55 grams of EAAs). As expected, we’ve upped the ante in v2.
Now, each full serving of Over the Top supplies 15.75 grams of EAAs (including 10 grams of BCAAs) to fuel performance, recovery, and growth.
New & Improved Flavors
Flavor is often left as an afterthought, especially for “hardcore” lifters that say they value how a product performs above its taste.
But, let’s be real -- if a product tastes like a wet dog’s asshole, you’re not going to use it regularly. And on the random days where you can muster up the testicular fortitude to actually drink it, you’re lucky if you don’t have to run to the bathroom a few minutes after taking it.
That’s why in addition to making effective products, we also work with our manufacturing partners to develop unbeatable flavors.
We’ve overhauled our flavors for v2 and crafted to delicious and refreshing flavors in:
-
Passion fruit pineapple strawberry
-
Orange mango
More Hydration + Electrolytes
Hydration plays a critical role in your ability to perform at a high level, tolerate unfavorable training environments, and delay the onset of fatigue. The more intensity with which you train, the more electrolytes you’re going to lose. Failing to replenish these could lead to premature fatigue, cramping, headaches, and worse.
That’s why we included a full complement of essential electrolytes in Over the Top v2 alongside other valuable hydration agents (osmolytes), including taurine and betaine anhydrous. These help to maintain adequate hydration levels, support stress resilience and sustain “water-fueled” muscle pumps.
Peak ATP Replaces elevATP & PeakO2
Both elevATP and PeakO2 are phenomenal ingredients (we wouldn’t have used them otherwise). As you’ve come to realize, whenever we update a product, we like to shuffle things around a bit. At times, this means removing a quality ingredient (or two) and adding something new.
After extensive “real world” testing, both personally and with our athletes, we made the decision to use Peak ATP in place of elevATP and PeakO2.
What is Peak ATP?
Peak ATP is a patented, clinically-researched form of adenosine 5’-triphosphate (ATP) disodium that is identical in structure to human ATP. It has been studied in humans and found to increase ATP levels in the body and boost exercise performance after a single dose![1,2]
It helps to increase blood flow, energy production, recovery, and muscle pumps -- all of which make it an ideal multi-benefit ingredient to include in a comprehensive intra workout supplement
Added Aquamin
Aquamin is a natural, multi-mineral derived from the red algae Lithothamnion corallioides, rich in calcium, magnesium and 72 other trace minerals.[3]
In addition to supplying a high-quality (and natural) source of important micronutrients, in vitro studies also suggest that Aquamin may play an important role in regulating the inflammatory response by modulating the nuclear factor kappa B signalling pathway.[4]
The Bottom Line
For intense workouts, intra workout supplements can make the difference between falling short of your goals and shattering PRs. Traditional intra workout supplements that contain a paltry 5g of BCAAs simply won’t cut it.
Over the Top is the real athlete’s intra workout supplement -- supplying the key nutrients your mind and body need to delay fatigue, maintain performance, and get results!
